VI-1 Certificate Required: Remains necessary for wine imported from non-EU countries.
  3. Labeling Requirements (Effective 01-Jan-2024)
Wine labels must clearly show the name and address of a business within the UK, Channel Islands, or Isle of Man.
Exemptions apply to pre-labeled products prior to the new regulation's effective date.
  4. Tax and VAT Guidance
The document includes information on VAT and other tax obligations for importing wine.
  5. Food Business Operator (FBO) Registration
Mandatory FBO Registration: Applies to all food and drink businesses, including online wine retailers.

Objective of Changes:
These updated regulations are designed to enhance transparency, compliance, and quality control within Great Britain’s wine industry, ensuring that both importers and retailers uphold consistent standards.
