The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has extended its cosmetics e-label pilot project to enhance consumer convenience, reduce packaging waste, and support eco-friendly practices. Running from March to February next year, the project allows consumers to access key product details through QR codes and electronic labels.
Shoppers can identify participating products by checking for specific phrases and QR codes on packaging. Eligible items must display the product name, business name, capacity, manufacturing number, expiration date, and a barcode assigned by the Ministry’s Commissioner.
