This document provides guidelines for product standards on unapproved therapeutic vapes in Australia, based on the Therapeutic Goods Legislation Amendment (Standard for Therapeutic Vaping Goods) (TGO 110) Instrument 2024. These standards focus on quality, ingredient restrictions, container requirements, and labeling to ensure consistency and safety in therapeutic vaping products.

Key Labeling and Packaging Requirements:

Primary Pack Labels: Must clearly display the product name and nicotine content, with text sizes of at least 3.0 mm and 1.5 mm, respectively.
Essential Label Information: Product name, nicotine content, flavor, volume, and warning statements for nicotine-containing products must be included.
Prohibited Packaging: Labels must not imply the product is food, drink, or cosmetic, and should avoid appealing to youth.
Design Specifications: Labels should be primarily white, using no more than four colors.
Effective from October 1, 2024, this guidance aims to standardize labeling for therapeutic vapes, enhancing transparency and reducing risks associated with product misuse.
