The Ministry of Agriculture has introduced a QR Code Application in food businesses to enhance food safety and provide consumers with reliable information by allowing them to query the QR code through the Tarım Cebimde (Agriculture in My Pocket) application.

• QR Code Guide in Food Businesses:
  • The QR Code Application has been implemented to ensure food safety from farm to table, allowing consumers to check the inspection status of food businesses.
  • The Ministry has prepared visuals with QR codes specific to each business. These can be voluntarily downloaded and displayed for consumer visibility.
  • Consumers can query the QR code using the “Tarım Cebimde” mobile application to access information about the business.
  • The service aims to protect consumer interests and increase the visibility of official controls carried out by the Ministry.
• For Food Business Operators:
  • Creating a QR Code:
    • Food business operators can create a QR code for their business by entering specific identification numbers on the Ministry’s website.
  • Displaying the QR Code:
    • The document containing the QR code should be printed in A4 or A5 size and displayed in a visible place within the business.
  • Steps to Create a QR Code:
    • Access the query page on the Ministry’s website using Chrome as the default browser.
    • Enter the owner’s T.R. Identity Number and Business Registration/Approval Number for individual businesses, or the Tax Number and Business Registration/Approval Number for legal entities.
    • Print and display the document containing the QR code in a prominent location within the business.
  • For Consumers:
    • Using the QR Code:
      • Download the “Agriculture in My Pocket” mobile application to your mobile phone.
      • Select “Business Audit Inquiry” under the “Food Control” menu in the application.
      • Make inquiries by scanning the QR code displayed at the food business using the mobile application’s camera.
      • Access information such as the business’s title, address, registration/approval number, and the date of the latest audit.

This initiative by the Ministry of Agriculture enhances transparency and food safety, empowering consumers to make informed choices while ensuring that food businesses adhere to safety regulations.
